With the right preparation and packing, your Tropical Ice Box can keep ice for up to 5 days, depending on conditions and use.
Actual performance depends on the amount and type of ice used, outside temperature, how often the lid is opened and whether the ice box and contents are pre-chilled.
For best results, start with plenty of solid, well-frozen ice, pack the ice box firmly, limit lid openings and keep it in the shade.
Keeping your ice box in the shade helps reduce heat build-up and improves ice retention, particularly in hot Australian conditions.
Direct sunlight heats the outside of the ice box, which means the insulation has to work harder to keep the contents cold.
Whenever possible, position your ice box in the shade and avoid leaving it in direct sun for extended periods.
Clean and dry your ice box thoroughly before storage.
Store it with the lid slightly open or unlatched to allow airflow and help prevent trapped moisture or odours.

For best results, keep food sealed or in containers and pack your ice box efficiently with plenty of ice or ice packs to maintain a consistent temperature.
After use, empty your ice box and wash it with warm water and mild dishwashing detergent. Use a soft cloth or sponge to clean the inside and outside.
Rinse thoroughly and allow it to air dry completely before storing.
For stubborn marks or odours, repeat the wash as needed. Avoid harsh chemicals, solvents or abrasive cleaners that may damage the surface.
